Let me share few more details

when i type any url for eg. google.com, so when i start typing "goo.... to complete the word google. it shows me gmail.com and other things that i have search in the past in google.com it shows the url of the google search page where i search the information and it shows www.gmail.com though i did not open gmail after deleting browsing history.................

if i open any websites now for eg. rediffmail.com, wikipedia.org and some other sites. then i delete the browsing history and then when i open IE8 and then try to type rediffmail.com when i am typing "redif....... it does not give me the history but for google and some other sites like microsoft.com it shows history of couple of weeks back which i had visited.

If you Open Internet Explorer then go to Tools>Internet Options, Click on the content tab and in the personal information tab click on auto complete. This will give you a list of what to save for future reference.

Under the General Tab there is a button "clear history" this should do the trick..

Alternatively if you run regedit and expand to the following location:

HKey_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs

Then you can select the enteries and delete from there...
