IIS host header not work with domain without www

Hi

e.g. I have a domain www.sampledomain.com and I added it in host header with port 80 on IIS 6.

It does work.

however, if I add a host header with port 80, sampledomain.com, then it does not work.

How should I fix it?

Hi,

do you have a DNS entry for 'sampledomain.com'?  try "ping sampledomain.com" and see if it resolves to the right IP address.

cheers.

Then you need to add this record (the 'A' record) into the domain's DNS via either a control panel with your registrar, your webhost, or your own DNS server.
