OCS 2007 R2 Eval period really 180 days?

Around 10 days ago I've installed OCS 2007 R2 Eval (Standard Version) which is supposedly has 180 day trial period.

I'm now getting daily error 12292 in OCS Event log on both Front-End/Pool and Edge servers stating:

"The service will expire in 18 days. Obtain the released version of this product and upgrade to the non-evaluation version by running setup.exe"

Have I missed something or is the OCS 2007 R2 Eval only valid for 30 days instead of 180?

It is a 180 day trial.

In the past, I have found there to be an issue with this.  The most common cause for me was that the calendar wasn't set right when the server was built and then it has sync'd with your AD/Web post install and jumped forwards a few months.

Another issue i have found is input locale.  When the date formats are changed, some MS-Demo's don't know how to read the change and do the maths, so when your date changed from 3/1/09 (3rd Jan 09 British) to 1/3/09 (3rd Jan 09 - American!) it assumes that you have somehow lost 3 months and the date is now in march and you loose 90 days of your trial (or similar)

As for undoing this - you can't legally change this.  There are many cracks out there to get around it, but I can't post them here.

Your only choices really are:

Test fast!
Reinstall the eval version
buy an upgrade
find alternate products
