Report Builder cache error

I have a report which I managed to build using the online Report Builder.

I know want to use a cached copy of the report. So I have stored my credentials and clicked on Cache a temporary copy of the report. Expire copy of report after a number of minutes.

The error which I am now getting is.

An error has occurred during report processing.
Query execution failed for data set 'dataSet'.
Incorrect syntax near '<'. The label 'xmlns' has already been declared. Label names must be unique within a query batch or stored procedure. The label 'xmlns' has already been declared. Does anybody know why I am getting this error

It sounds like the report or dataset file is corrupt (or changed).  Has the .rdl or .rds files been modified?  Does the report run if you change the settings back to not use a cached data? Are there other users building reports on the server?

I think you will need to recreate this report again.

The report runs fine if I do not used stored credentials and cache.

Sounds like a bug in reporting services.

What version of Reporting Services are you running?  Do you have the latest service packs installed. Do you get any errors in the Application Event Log?

After enabling stored credentials and cache, can you open the report in report builder - do you get any errors?

Is the report and data source, in the root folder of the server - if so try to place it into a sub folder and see if it is still causing errors.
