Iconfile.ico is not in 3.00 format - for VS2005

How can I change my bipmap file so that its an icon (.ico) suitable for VS2005.

I simply renamed my .bmp file to .ico and VS2005 says :
" Iconfile.ico is not in 3.00 format"

you cant rename a bmp to ico. You have to convert it.

You can also create an empty icon with VS2005 an then copy and past your image to it
