How do I determine which CAPICOM version is in use?

Greetings.

I have a Windows 2003 server running an application. I want to patch the application, but the latest patch says it required CAPICOM version 2.1.0.2.

The capicom.dll file I have in C:\WINDOWS\system32 says it is version 2.1.0.1. There is also a capicom.dll file in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft CAPICOM 2.1.0.2\Lib\X86" that says it is 2.1.0.2.

How do I determine which of these CAPICOM dlls is actually the one in use on the server?

Thanks.

One of those files is left over from an update, but it looks like it is still using that .dll

Go here and redownload / reinstall the package and you will be sure to have the most current version:
