Launching Application from Citrix ICA file prompts for Windows Authentication

We published a citrix application and then created an ICA file to launch it. It works fine, except, users are prompted to authenticate with their windows logon information before the app actually launches.

I read somewhere that i can simply add the username and password to the ICA file, by opening it in notepad. However, the password is encrypted. Is that correct? I guess where i am lost, is how to obtain the encrypted password so that i can enter it inot the ICA file.

I don't think you can do that --> creating a static ICA file with static credentials to open up a Citrix served app.

The password in the .ICA file is encrypted on purpose and has a short life-span on the encryption - the cipher expires in 3-5 minutes from the time the .ICA file is created on the server and sent to the client.  As well, I don't believe there is an option to send the password in clear-text as it is a serious security hole...

You'd be better off using passthrough authentication if possible.

Two-way: -

1. Use Passthrough Authentication -- Best and recommended.

2. Add following parameter in .ICA file
