Logitech Orbit AF Quickcam & Visual Basic.net

I have DirectX 9.0 on my computer. I am writing an application in which I want to take a photo using the Logictech Quickcam. Since there are no SDK's available, I am told that one has to use DirectShow to capture photos. Can someone please give me an example of how this is done? Since I want the application to control the process, I am assuming that certain filters need to be set. How does one do this?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
