How can I incorporate flight information in project

I have a project where people travel a lot and I would like to incorporate flight information so that scheduling resources to fly when there is no flight scheduled should not be possible.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Couldn't understand the question properly, but in project 2007 it is possible to create exceptions so that scheduling is avoided during exception days.
Can you please elaborate more?
Going to be somewhat difficult because Project will not let you schedule down to the minute.  Meaning if you wanted to create a task for the flight. You can set up recurrence but you cant say it recurs every Monday at 3:12 PM.

I think one way to incorporate the flight schedule into your view is to establish the flight as a recurring task based on the schedule. I have attaached an example below that shows what I mean. But the level of detail here can only get to the frequency. My pictures shows a flight every M, W, F lasting 1 hour but it defaults to the earliest available slot for that day. I will try to see if there is a way to give it a specifc time for recurrence like you can do with outlook meetings.

If you put the recurring tasks based on the flight schedule then you can simplyt assign a resource to that flight as a task assignment.
Recurring task to show flight schedule
dbase118Commented: I remember. If you change the Date Format for the Project. you can add the time. Go to Tools to Options to View tab. The second box is Date format, one of the formats you can choose includes a time segment. So if you use that and then do your recurrence you should be able to schedule a flight for a specific time on whatever frequency you need.  Are you familiar with the recurring task dialog box? My guess is that you would be recurring weekly. It will give you a checkbox for everyday that is on the schedule.  So you can choose the right days if the flight is 3 days, 5 days, or 7 days a week (or any other frequency.)
