where can i find inetd.conf file in redhat linux server 5.2. is there any package to install    inetd server then plz tell me.

it replaced the /etc/inetd.conf

if you cant find it you should install

/etc/xinetd.conf contains xinetd configuration. But if what you want to modify a programmm which is running through xinetd or you want to launch a program using xinetd then you should go to /etc/xinetd.d
You can use any of the programs there as a template. Copy it under another name and edit inside it using your favorite text editor.
