Fingerprinter Reader on a laptop

We have a Dell Latitude E6500,  the user has installed the fingerprint scanner and has been using it for a while, now we need to turn it off, we can not figure out how to turn it off, we have contacted dell numerous times and they lead us down a blind road, if anyone has any ideas on how to turn this off please let me know.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Open up the DELL Control Point panel.   Click the Security Manager Section, click Manager Security, select Logins and Passwords, click the Setting button next to "Require Fingerprint or password for windows logon. "  In the Embassy Security Center, change the authentication type away from "biometric" and back to password only.
