Print Job Will Not Delete from Queue

I have a shared printer on a small network with several XP machines. One user has a job showing in the queue that will not delete. It continues to show 'Deleting-Printing' in the status. I have tried reinstalling the printer on the user's machine and have tried stopping and restarting the printer spooler.

The printer is a Sharp MX3100

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Stop the print spooler service > browse to "C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS" > and delete the files in that folder > start print spooler
