How to control power options in Domain

How do you control power options for domain users in a domain. Is there a group policy for this?I want to be able to change the turn off monitor and drive in 20 mins option.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Sadly, no, not in 2003/XP.  Windows Vista adds group policy support for this.  I would suggest your best option would be to create a .REG file modifying the default user (and possibly the current user) - the default user is where the default power settings are which the current user can then customize for themselves (had a b*tch of a time figuring this out to keep machines from going to sleep when we needed them on and available for Remote Desktop.

You can try to use custom ADM file Ive attached.  I got this file from http://www.terranovum.com/projects/energystar/ez_gpo.html.

Just import it under Admin Templates and you will get GP settings you need.

I hope this helps.

P.S. you need to change file extention to ADM
