Hi All,

We do have a HP 7700 pc that came with an on-board VGA port as well as DVI port on a pca adaptor card. TVGA port is not working, and would only works if I remove the video adapter. It is enabled in the bios and the other choices i ahve are IRQ 5, 10, and 11 whicha re used bu usb.

It seems that viedo adapter automatically disables the on-board vga port. Is there any way to enable both with having to purchase a new dual-port dapater.

This is normal, if the card is a PCI-e or AGP video card - it shares the same resources as onboard video. You will need a new dual port PCI-e video card, or a new PCI video card if you want both onboard and an additional video card (it should use the same driver as the onboard).

The solution was to purchase a new AVi dual-port card.
