Lock Cisco IP Phones

Hi,
I would like to know a way to lock Cisco IP phones in my company.Similar to the Ctrl-Alt-Del screen where we lock our PCs.I need a similar kind on the Cisco IP phones, wher are user justs press some keys to lock the phone when he is away and similarly press some codes to unlock it when present..

There is no way to do this with any features builtin. You could create a XML service that has a sort of lock screen but the users would have to run it manually.

You can also consider extension mobility. That would require users to login to the phone.

The Extension Mobility feature allows users to configure any Cisco IP Phone 7940 or Cisco IP Phone 7940 IP phone as their own, on a temporary basis, by logging in to that phone. Once a user logs in, the phone adopts the user individual user default device profile information, including line numbers, speed dials, services links, and other user-specific properties of a phone. For example, when user A occupies a desk and logs in to the phone, her directory number(s), services, speed dials, and other properties appear on that phone; but when user B uses the same desk at a different time, his information appears. The Extension Mobility feature dynamically configures a phone according to the current user.

We are using ccm4 and 7960 ip phones..thanx for the info abt em but I was thinkibg of using any existing feature for a single user profile

There is no other existing feature that can accomplish what you need to do. This is the closest thing.

As jimartinexiii said extension mobility would work for you.. Set up a basic phone profile that allows users to gain no functionality accept for 911 calls, then let the user's log into their extension mobility profiles.

I want to lock my Cisco IP Phone 7961 with 5 digit PIN, I don't want to someone missuse my phone.

Is cisco IP- phones still have this issue?  
CMC and FAC is good but you have to applied them on all users because their setting done inside RP.
How I can lock ip phone keypad on user level. either by keypad PIN or call code.
