Outlook 2003 duplicate calendar appointments

Dear Experts

We have a problem with one of our outlook clients.  When the user is sent an invitation to a meeting and accepts this meeting it appears in the calendar ever week at the same time as though it was a recurring appointment.

I have tried a detect and repair and also setting up a new outlook profile which has not helped.

We are running SBS 2003 and Outlook 2003.

Can anyone advise on how to sort this?

Thanks

Hi

If i log into OWA the appointments that have already been accepted show as recurring, however when I accept an appointment within OWA the problem does not occur.

Thanks

That leads me to believe it is the outlook client. Try creating a new outlook profile and testing.

Hi

I have just added the profile onto a different PC and the problem does not occur.

I guess there must be something wrong with this particular client.

Thanks

Hi

Do you have any idea what might be wrong with the client that is causing this?

Would an uninstall then reinstall of Outlook fix the issue?

Thanks

Anything is possible with Microsoft.
I would run the uninstall, reboot, then run the removal tool found here. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ork2003/HA011401771033.aspx
