Outlook 2007 custom Calendar sharing does not work

If I try to share my default Calendar in Outlook 2007 an e-mail appears with the option to "Allow recipient to view your Calendar".  When I send the e-mail the reciepient can open the Calendar and view it.

If I try to share a custom Calendar, the e-mail is missing the option to "Allow recipient to view your Calendar" and when the recipient recieves the e-mail and tries to view the Calendar, they get the error "The folder you selected is not available".  I have verified that the permissions are correct (they are listed as a reviewer with view only permissions".

I have identified the problem.  I cannot say whether this is a network security issue or if this is how Exchange is designed to work, but I am able to share Calendars only with individuals, not with groups.  I had originally shared the Calendar with an outlook group which didn't work, however when I un-collapsed the group so it showed all individuals in the group, it worked.
