Hyper-v: What version am I running?

I have Windows 2008 server running Hyper-V
I am looking into a backup stratagy for my VHD's
I have been reading about Hyper-V R2 having a better export feature.

I) How do I know if I am running R2 Hyper-V?
ii) How do I upgrade if I am not?
iii) Can I export while the Virtual server is running?
