1. Reinstall the audio driver directly from realteks website http://www.realtek.com.tw/
2. You can try right clicking on the exclamation and choose update driver, it may or may not install the correct driver.
3. Right click on it and uninstall it, then restart. It should reinstall and may or may not ask you for driver. Use the CD if you must that came with the amd motherboard.
4. In bios, make sure integrated audio is enabled, but it strongly looks like it is.
5. Verify you are using the correct realtek driver. Be careful on using the driver detected by windowsupdate.com. There is a specific audio driver 'high definition audio codec'..etc being released for certain audio hardware that causes the exclamation. This can be easily resolved by uninstalling, and reinstalling the correct audio driver.
2)checked on the manufacturers web site for audio drivers --> motherboard do come with the driver
3)Reinstall the audio driver directly .. --> i try already but on the half way of installation error occur and unable to proceed installation
4) clicking on the exclamation and choose update driver --> unable to do so, nothing pop up . i also try to uninstall the exclamation audio driver, but failed.
5)make sure integrated audio is enabled --> where is it allocated in bios.
6)Verify you are using the correct realtek driver --> i believe i use a correct one cause it come with motherboad(in the cd)
7) i cannot uninstall and update.. the driver im using is from the cd come with motherboard.

Uninstall the drivers that you've installed
Download &ย install these :
http://www.viaarena.com/default.aspx?PageID=420&OSID=1&CatID=1010&SubCatID=105
According to your m/b specification (http://europe.giga-byte.com/FileList/Manual/motherboard_manual_7vm400am-rz_e.pdf) the audio drivers is VIA not Realtek (On-Board Sound VIA VT1617).
Hope that helps !

Microsoft Windows XP is the sixth release of the NT series of operating systems, and was the first to be marketed in a variety of editions: XP Home and XP Professional, designed for business and power users. The advanced features in XP Professional are generally disabled in Home Edition, but are there and can be activated. There were two 64-bit editions, an embedded edition and a tablet edition.
