I have a Mac user who recently updated to Office 2008. &nbsp;Since then he is getting an error in Microsoft Word when he opens documents that were created using company template using Word 2004 on the same Mac. &nbsp;Word displays an error saying &quot;This is not a Valid Selection&quot; when trying to type text. &nbsp;The error occurs when you try to type text at any point in the document, however if you select text it will let you overwrite the selection.<br />

I have tried the same document on a different Mac also running Office 2008 and was able to edit the document with any problem.<br />
