How to fix the error message 'The session setup from the computer NE-LAPTOP failed to authenticate. The following error occurred: Access is denied. '.

Lately I have been getting inmy Server Performance Report two error  messages.
The Event ID are: 5723 & 5805.
The error messages are:
Critical Errors in System Log

The session setup from computer 'NE-LAPTOP' failed because the security database does not contain a trust account 'NE-LAPTOP$' referenced by the specified computer. USER ACTION If this is the first occurrence of this event for the specified computer and account, this may be a transient issue that doesn't require any action at this time. Otherwise, the following steps may be taken to resolve this problem: If 'NE-LAPTOP$' is a legitimate machine account for the computer 'NE-LAPTOP', then 'NE-LAPTOP' should be rejoined to the domain. If 'NE-LAPTOP$' is a legitimate interdomain trust account, then the trust should be recreated. Otherwise, assuming that 'NE-LAPTOP$' is not a legitimate account, the following action should be taken on 'NE-LAPTOP': If 'NE-LAPTOP' is a Domain Controller, then the trust associated with 'NE-LAPTOP$' should be deleted. If 'NE-LAPTOP' is not a Domain Controller, it should be disjoined from the domain.

On my server under Server Management-->Client Computers One of my users has an 'X' next to the computer name.

What does that mean?
How do I resolve this ?
Its been two weeks since its been like this.
No new changes were made to his laptop, not even updates.
Please advise.

For the alternate method.
the '/Domain:DomainName' Should that be the domain of the server?
The '/UserO:User' is the User suppose to be the administrator for the server?
The '/Password():*' is the password the password for the server matching the administrator?
Yes, no, no.
For DomainName type the name of the domain of the server. For User type the name of the local Administrator account of the laptop (LAPTOP\Administrator). Type in the administrator password of the laptop NE-LAPTOP when you are prompted. (Do not confuse it with the domain administrator password.)
I tried option one.
I delete the account and then readded the account.
I then went to laptop and turned it to domain.local and rebooted
then now i am trying to log in to the laptop but I can not enter.
I tried as administrator with and without password and it does not work.
It tells me to make sure I have the user name and passowrd correct.
I need to get this computer working since it belongs to the owner of the company.
I even try to log in without a user and password.
the computer does not give me the option of a domain.
Ugh, you always need to know the local admin password.
Unless you can find it, or restore from a backup, you are stuck, sorry.  Google for "XP lost password" for 3rd party utilities that can reset it.

I used Gideon7's alternate method and that worked for me. I determined the reason I was getting the 5723 event was because I was adding a server to the domain but the server was running virtually in VMWare Player and NAT (shared networking) was the network method used. What this did was give the server a 192.168 address, which isn't our LAN subnet. once I changed the networking method in VMWare Player to Bridged Mode, I was able to asign the virtual server an IP address on our LAN.
