How to recover word files after HDD recovery.

Hi
I have recoverd my files by Ontrack datarecovery,. Now when ever I try to open word or excel files, It shows that files are corrupt. (ie garbage). Can any one advice on how to recover this files.?

It sounds as if they were not recovered correctly. For the Word documents, you could try to Open them as type: 'Recover text from any file(*.*)'. If that works, you might be able to see some or all of your text, but the formatting will have been lost and you will have to select and copy it piece-by-piece.
