Transfer of iPod Touch Game Data to iPhone

Is it possible to backup and transfer an app's data such as a game's high scores to my iPhone?
I tried deleting the game from my iPhone and iTunes and then had the game transferred to iTunes once I connected my iPod. Once the game was copied over I connected my Iphone and set the game to sync to my iPhone. No dice though; the phone only displayed the games default pre-programed scoreboard. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi dawholagn;

if your ipod touch doesn't have jailbreak, you can't do that. because, Apple doesn't give permission to it's users to exploring ipod's or iphone's file system.

but if u have jailbreak, u can install openssh service to your ipod or iphone and install a ssh client to your computer. copy your game data to your pc with this program. it is a completely backup.

but it's not valid for all games' high-score, but generally u can use this method.

take care.

That makes sense to me. I'll jialbreak my iPod Touch just as soon as I create a current backup. Thanks!
