I am new to C# and need to populate a data set from a selected path.  I have in the program a way for the user to select the required directory, and need it to pull the folder names out and populate a checked list.

Correct me if my understanding is correct:
1>you have the complte Directory Path for which you need to populate the folder list   .

Create a Datatable with Column Path
Traverse the Complete String Path "\\" as seprator and store each path in the datatable.
eg: \\test_Dir\\Test_Child\\Test_SecChild
the Datatable will have rows having one column
test_Dir
test_child
Test_SecChild

And Filnally bind the datatable with th Grid

Hope this helps....

I am not trying to create the data table as a path, i am attempting to full a list of folder names in from a specified directory and fill the table.
