javascript to pass  querystring

Hi,

Can someone show me how to pass  a javascript variable into a querystring. I'm using html and javascript only. The querystring will ultimately be passed to an xslt.

i have the variable year in a js file and I want to add its value to my calendar.html url

Something like:


var url = 'http://www.someplace.com?parm1=1&parm2=2&etc=etc';
