MTU size SQL
Hello, we have one webserver connected to the SQL server with teamed nic, cat cable directly from webserver to SQL. Would I get any better perfomance by increasing MTU size? Is there other settings that you would recommend chaning from default?
Before tuning th enetwork side, I would recommend evaluating the precise top network throughput required by *all* servers combined, at a given point in time. This information will give you a clearer perspective on the problem.
Usually exchanges between SQL servers are the highest consumers, especially in datawarehousing environment.

Hello, there are only this two serververs connected to each other without any switch, the webserver has another interface thats connected to the dmz.
Then it looks that it would be difficult to blame the network for a performance issue. Your best bet would be to look on the db side..

Because the question from the start wasn't related to any performance issue, but how i could set it up in best practise, I did not get any answer to how the MTU size change connection speed for SQL data.
If you still mean that I graded wrong, is there any whay I could change it?
