is there a way in 03 server to set a group policy and have it only apply to one user.  I have folder redirection set for my docs.  one user wants to use her desktop to save files.  Can I set redirection of the desktop and apply it just to that singe user?

yeah :)

put the user into her own OU (organisational unit) and set the group policy on that organisational unit (right click the ou, properties, group policy tab, apply the GPO there)

If you place the OU as a "sub-container" (subfolder) of your group policy for your other users, windows will apply the group policy which is enforced on all users and then make the changed for your single user after :)
