Proxy server question-best practices

Our proxy server has one interface in the internal network and the other interface in our DMZ.
Just want to make sure this is ok to do

So long as you have a firewall in place to prevent the proxy from talking to any other boxes in the DMZ, then it should be fine as this is the usual configuration.
