Internet Explorer having login problems

I have been working with a customers machine who is having problems logging into an oracle web service through their employer.  When I go and put in the login information and click sign in it just blinks over and over at the bottom Waiting for (URL).  

So I have been troubleshooting this I have went into Internet Options and made it accept all cookies.  I added the exact website to the trusted websites.  Cleaned all temporary files and all malware.  I have reset internet explorer and everything.  

Strange thing just started happening.  While it is blinking at the bottom and not loading the page I clicked Tools > Internet Options the page loaded as soon as the Internet Options window comes up.  It is very strange.  Once it is up it runs like normal.  Any help or insight on this problem would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Does it consistantly allow you in if you go to internet options or was that a one time occurence?

It consistantly works with internet options.  It has been having some freeze ups as well.  I have uninstalled all the toolbars.  I guess the next step is to check the add - ons.  Any other suggestions?

Ok tried IE8 in no Add-ons mode.  Still no luck.  It just keeps flashing over and over.  Even the little yellow bar at the top that says "Internet Explorer is currently running with add-ons disabled" flashes from yellow to blue over and over.  I click tools > Internet options and it loads the page.  It's quite confusing.

Just out of curiousity have you tryed safe mode with networking just to trouble shoot?

Yes, Same exact thing happening in safe mode with networking.  I have told the customer of the problem.  In my mind it's an issue with Internet Explorer.  Being that you cannot completely remove Internet Explorer and reinstall it I have installed Firefox.  It works perfectly.  As Usual!  I think I am going to just tell the customer to use Firefox from now on.  But if anyone has a clue of how to fix this problem please let me know.  Thank you.
