ISDN Lines for video conferencing.

We are about to implement a new video conferencing system so that our office can communicate with colleges over seas.  I know we need ISDN lines for stability, but what kind.  S1?  N1? Other?

I will admit I don't have a ton of experience with ISDN lines.  I think S1.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Your telco should be able to help when you order the lines. It depends on your existing equipment and application.

That being said, is using IP an option? I have had far fewer stability issues using our internet connection vs. ISDN, including connections to European and Chinese locations. It's also much cheaper and just fewer headaches in general. If other locations only have ISDN a bridging service could be an option.
