we are currently using backup exec 12.0, we will be adding new servers and virtual server to the network, looking for what others are using besides backup exec? backup exec is a little pricey and if there is another system that works as good or better then backup exec we may change. will be backing up active directory 2003 exchange 2003, files servers.
Thanks

For file backup, there is always ARCserve - I have used it for years and is very reliable - probably a similar price to Backup Exec though. http://www.ca.com/us/trials/collateral.aspx?cid=72333
Backup Exec is pretty much the industry standard.
Alternatives to file backup is Image Backup using software such as Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery Server which is not cheap either I am afraid, unless you have a Small Business Server. http://www.ca.com/us/trials/collateral.aspx?cid=72333
There is also Yosemite Tapeware. http://www.barracudaware.com/
Not aware of any others.
