ICS for wifi

Hello all:

I am trying to configure Internet Connection Sharing ICS on a laptop that has both a Verizon broadband card and a standard wifi card.  I want to share the Internet connection that I get from Verizon with the wifi for other laptops to use.  I can make this happen with a standard Ethernet cable, but the wifi will not broadcast an SSID nor give out IP addresses?  Am I missing something???

The laptop with the Verizon broadband card is an HP mini running XP Home.  The laptop we want to share with is a Gateway with Vista Home (I don't know if it's Basic or Premium).

Looks like the client went ahead and got regular Internet service so he doesn't need to share this connection anymore.  Thanks much!
