Alternative to Global Address List in Exchange 2003

Hi there,

Using SBS 2003, we are increasingly in need of a shared contacts folder which users can edit themselves.

At the moment, the GAL can only be edited by Admins (i.e. me), so we have used Public Folders - one big shared Contacts folder which all users can access and maintain.

However, mobile devices (iPhones & Blackberries) cannot access public folders, so I am looking for an alternative.

I could obviously export the contacts from the public contacts folder into the GAL, but I want users to maintain this themselves, as we are a small organisation, and only have 100s rather than 1,000s of details to look after.

Any suggestions welcome - although looking for something practical, rather than a registry tweak for all Outlook users!

Thx,
L

Instead of providing user access to edit the GAL and other hassles, I would suggest you to use some third-party tool to access the public folder from mobile. Refer the links.
