I have already installed the suggested file.  There is no driver for Sql 2008 Express.  On other XP machines it list the driver as SQL Server Native Client 10.0.  I have installed the same drivers on the Windows 2000 machine.  They do show in the list of drivers but the setup routine for them will not run.  Do you have any other suggestions?

Yes, SQL Server Native Client 10.0 is derived for SQL 2008 but SQL Server ODBC driver is sufficient enough to access data from W2K. More you may find e.g. here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms130828.aspx

SQL Server Native Client requires one of the following:
Microsoft Windows XP SP2 or later.
Windows Vista.
Windows Server 2008.
Windows 2003 Server SP2 or later.
