subdomain not working internally, but it works externally

I just created a new subdomain for my website and it works externally, but inside my organzation, it doesn't work.  I'm not sure what I'm missing.

http://support.amazingfacts.org     (it forwards people to my support page)

But when I go to it internally, I get an error message, it says "Oops! This link appears to be broken."  I get that in IE and firefox.  I've already created a DNS entry on my domain controller pointing the support to my server, so not sure what's going on, any advice?
I've also configured my firewall to allow all access to that website.

Thanks.

How did you set it up in the DNS? CName or A record?

I just created the Cname again, to point to www.support.amazingfacts.org
but it's still not working. I flushed DNS on the server and on my local PC as well a few times.
still nothing.

on my server, when I ping www.amazingfacts.org, I get a response back, but when I ping www.support.amazingfacts.org  it says "ping request could not find host www.support.amazingfacts.org.  Please check the name and try again".

So can't figure out why it can't see it?

Can you do a ipconfig /all on one of the client machines? Make sure the local dns server is listed for dns queries.

You are creating a dns record for both www and non? Are you typing the right one in the browser?

yes, I created one for both, so it shouldn't matter if I type  http://support.amazingfacts.org
or www.support.amazingfacts.org

Well, either way, externally, when I type http://support.amazingfacts.org
it works fine, it just doesn't work internally and not sure why?
When I type that internally, it just goes directly to our main website, which is www.amazingfacts.org
and the reason why it goes there is because my internal dns points to that IP address.
Now sure what to do next?

it's working now, the problem was, I needed to point my internal DNS not to my webserver, but to the IP address of where it's being forarded to, and that did the trick.  Thanks for your assistance!

The problem was that when I setup my internal DNS, I needed to point it to the redirected website, not to my external webserver IP.
