URLVariables and URLRequests - transferring data msg in browser

when i do request from PHP to do some database selects/inserts - although the data is processed and I get my event complete messages, it still shows transferring data in the browser - am I doing something wrong?
do i need to explicitly close any connections?

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I 'think' that only happens in Firefox...  Or is it happening in IE as well???
If it is, it is one of those FF/FP bug...  :(
