sbs fax issues
OK...to start we have 2 fax modems (one for receiving and one for sending). We are having issues receiving faxes. It is a very intermittent problem. We will get a lot of partials then it will get disconnected. I have already tried to turn the one only for sending into both sending and receiving and still getting errors.
The most common errors (in the activity log file) are:
"telephone line quality is poor, and the fax cannot be received correctly"
"unknown fatal error"
"remote fax machine did not respond in time, and the call was terminated" *(Mostly this one)*
"The incoming call cannot be answered as a fax call"
The most common errors (in the incoming fax log) are:
"Received DCN unexpectedly"
"Failed to receive expected response"
"Failed to receive expected command - aborting"
Maybe about 50% success rate in transferring (Lower when they are multi-page faxes).
Also, receiving errors from many different numbers as well.
