Hi.

Is there some clever trick required to get the "Graphic Location" on an OLE object to update when the data is refreshed?

The Graphic Location value is a database field. Each row has a different value.

The value changes (I can report upon the field easily enough), but the graphic location, if it is being updated, does not change the image.

The images are actually PDF documents.

The links are like this ...

Any ideas?

Is this Crystal XI or 2008?

If not you have to store the image in the database.  Using the location string was added in CR XI.

CR 11.

The "images" are actual PDF documents which are single page reports which contain the fax and a small table of information about the state of the fax (received, processed by/date, invoiced, etc.)

The location of the image is a URL (intranet URL) supplied as a column in a view from the database. The SQL server creates the URL from a datetime, page# and a fax code.

We get around 800 pages a day.

CR XI or 11 can use the database field directly as the source of the image.
