I have spent countless hours trying to figure out how to install a UPS shipping calculator on my osCommerce site. I know that recent versions of oscommerce do not include it for copyright reasons, however I tried to download UPS Choice from the oscommerce contributions and install it. When I go to checkout I recieve the following problem :

United Parcel Service United Parcel Service
We are unable to obtain a rate quote for UPS shipping.
Please contact the store if no other alternative is shown.

I am stumped and the client is adament about having a UPS calculator. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

That error usually is related to weight settings.  If you've entered a weight for every product, then try setting the max weight to 150lbs.
There is also this contribution for UPS: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1323

I tried changing the weight limit and I tried setting no weight on products as well as adding weight to them. I did download that contribution, but it says I have to sign up for a UPS account, but does not tell me how. Maybe I missed it? I will have to look at it again.

You definitely need a weight.  The lack of a weight usually triggers that error because UPS can't calculate a price without a weight.

This looks like the signup for a UPS Account
