Problem 'Cannot import test.reg'

Hello.
I am trying to run a log on script that will set the outlook stationery theme to blank.
I exported the portion of the registry as I would like to have it to a .reg file, which
is stored on a server path of \\server1\public.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Common\MailSettings]
"MarkCommentsWith"=hex:4e,00,65,00,69,00,62,00,61,00,72,00,67,00,65,00,72,00,\2c,00,20,00,43,00,65,00,6c,00,65,00,73,00,74,00,65,00,00,00
"Template"=hex(2):00,00
"NewTheme"=""

After mapping drives in my log in script, I have inserted the following line
Regedit.exe "\\server1\public/StationeryLD.reg"

It prompts me to accept, then dislayes this message
Cannot import StationeryLD.reg: Error opening the file.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Either the file is being rejected by RegEdit for whatever reason, or the file just isn't available as you intend.

TRY THIS FROM A DOS PROMPT>  Notepad.exe "\\server1\public/StationeryLD.reg"

If notepad can open the file, then you know all the network pieces are correct.  You then have to figure out why RegEdit doesn't like the file.

If notepad cannot open the file, then you know there's something wrong with the way you're making the file available.  
Maybe that one FORWARDslash is the problem.  (my network supports either / or \)
Maybe the share is not accessible to the user attempting to read the file.

Report back your findings if you do not discover the problem yourself...
