PHP Treeview using Ajax and Oracle db

I have a database table that has columns like positionid, userid, parentid. I want to build a tree using Treeview control and ajax. With the initial page load, only the "top level" of items is loaded. All other data is loaded dynamically (via AJAX) when the node is "expanded".. Something very similar to the "Dynamic Tree View" in the following link.

http://phocoa.com/webapp/examples/ajax/tree/

I don't want to use YUI but the functionality should be like the above.. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Yes... there is a plugin, but it's good. http://plugins.jquery.com/project/treeview

All,
I want to use the "treeview" plugin in async mode.. The example is: http://jquery.bassistance.de/treeview/demo/async.html

However, I am unable to figure out how to avoid nested tree building..I wanted to expand nodes using ajax when a node is clicked.. I am looking for some kind of a code structure to do this..

Thanks
