Pre populate contact list in OCS 2007

Is there a way you can do this? So once the user logs into their machine w/ OCS client for the first time, the client list will populate automatically for them?  I'm surprised Microsoft didn't make this a feature w/ R2 or better yet add itinto a group policy w/ the OCS Template.

Please advise.

thanks!

The is a maximum number of contacts per user and you also have to think about what you are planning to add in the pre-population (distribution groups or users) as you will have increased traffic with the presence subscriptions.  I wouldn't suspect that each user would be communicating with the same contacts and the ethical wall concerning privacy/access and who the users want to allow to see their enhanced presence and information is left to the user.
With the Communicator Global Address List the user can easily search for a contact or group and it will also search their Outlook contacts.
Anyway there are some sample scripts in the OCS Resource Kit that can be utilized to add contacts/groups to users.
There is also a OCS Contact Management Tool from a third party that is in beta.  You might give it a whirl.  The website is http://www.ocscm.com.
