Scanner, Copier and Fax won't initialize.

hppscan3.exe and fax driver is not on my computer after doing a hard delete and full software reinstall a hundred times. Can't scan, copy or fax and must restart my computer after sending a print job in order to get my printer to work. Whenever I reinstall after the millionth time, I cannot find the icon or HP FX Toolbox to perform functions. I simply deleted the files and icons because after experiencing problems, I could not uninstall HP Laserjet 3390 for whatever reason. It just wouldn't let me so I deleted the files thinking I could reinstall them from the download driver support page of HP. I don't want to do a clean Windows Vista reinstallation if I can avoid it.

Did u try to clean Registry of hpscan software

try to remove manually registry

another solutiion is installing it completely; then remove it with Revouninstaller (it cleans out files and registry) :

by cleaning registry manualy for HP Laserjet 3390

start > run > regedit

when regedit opens click on my computer of explorer pan.
the press ctrl+F (keyboard key combination) > type name of software/utility for AIO printer
here in ur case i guess i could be HP laserjet 3390 ( check snap)
click on find next > when match found in registry just delet found registry from registry editor
again press F3 button to find again and delet again registry
repeat step until registry search finished.

Thank you all for your comments. I think they all would have worked under normal circumstances. After trying all suggestions, nothing worked. I simply had to go back to manufacturer's default setting and restore my computer back to health. I think I had done too many other things to my machine in an attempt to fix it to successfully apply advice from the forum. WHATEVER you do for anyone having this problem, NEVER us a registry cleaner. They delete all kinds of entries from your registry and render your machine useless. Lost all my files in the process but my laptop and HP All-in-One unit is now functional. Thanks once again for your input. Empowered2P
