Hello Friends,
Can you please tell me whether any (FTP) component in Delphi7 will help me to transfer file from my local machine to any other machine in any other country? Do I need to use a third party component like IP works for doing this? Is it possible in delphi to transfer files without using any thirdparty component?

Hi,
Thanks for your valuable help my dear friend. Just to confirm, Is this component having any kind of limitations while compare to other thirdparty components? I am going to use this Component in Delphi7 for my file transfer requirements. This is totally new for me, i start digging the methods and events of this component. May I ask you one more little help? Can you give a simple example of get and put method along with connection properties.
Full documentation you will find at http://www.indyproject.org/, particulary see http://www.indyproject.org/docsite/html/frames.html?frmname=topic&frmfile=TIdFTP.html for full documentation for TIdFTP. You can also google for TIdFTP, many valuable resources.
But, to say a truth, I'm using another ("third party", but free) component: check François Piette's ICS components at http://www.overbyte.be/frame_index.html
Have nice day
