I am about to write some PHP based Daemons to run on Linux.

Aside from the PEAR System_Daemon (ref http://www.experts-exchange.com/Programming/System/Linux/Q_24155040.html?sfQueryTermInfo=1+daemon+php) are there any other area or utilities I should be looking at?

Thanks
BT
