Outlook meeting reminders being sent multiple times.

Last week our CEO sent out a meeting invitation to several people. One of our employees accepted the meeting, and then received the meeting invitation about 20 more times since then. The meeting invitation was only sent once. Anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?

We tried to duplicate the scenario. We sent the meeting request from Outlook Web Access, and it came out fine. Then we tried from outlook and that worked too. We googled it but couldn't find any similar issues.

No, this just started. We are running a virus scan on her computer now.

We deleted quite a bit of email in the sent items folder then canceled and recreated the meetings.  There have been no repeat meetings since.

We have this issue and it occurs all the time. We have ran the exchange database clean up but this does continue to occur.

When found that when the user creates the meeting she adds herself to the meeting so she is actually added as a participant twice.  We told her she doesn't need to add herself because as the creater of the meeting she is already listed as a participant.  We then deleted email in the sent items folder then canceled and recreated the meetings.  There have been no repeat meetings since.
