Look for driver updates, particularly for the docking station.

check the hardware profiles. my computer right click-properties-hardware-hardware profiles. you should see two profiles. one called docked and the other undocked. if you don't see that copy the one you see and paste it there and rename it and reboot. sometimes laptops have trouble figuring what drivers to use. the easiest way around it is to just make another profile for it. I'd also recommend hitting the buttom that requires the user to select the profile.

I had a user with Similar issues. 1st I would say laptops are not meant to be left on 24hrs. Could be causing heat issues. I had my user turn her machine off at night and it resolved her problem.

Other than that you may want to look at the power settings. I put all the laptops here on Presentation and it avoids all kinds of problems.

A bios update may help or you could try going to Device Manager---keyboard properties---Power Management and choosing "Allow this device to bring computer out of standby"

Most of the responses I have tried; It appear to be related to the encryption software loaded on the machines.

As there is no clear solution I suggest you delete the Q, as it won't have any value in the PAQ database.
