I am trying to install a remote agent on another server and I get the following error:  Attempting to connect to server \\"ip address" failed with the following error: The account name and/or password supplied is not valid.

Please visit http://support.veritas.com/docs/282613 to view possible reasons why the remote installation cannot continue.

I have checked the veritas site and cannot find any solution that will fix the problem.  I even tried to recreate another account on the server with Full Admin rights and still get the same error.

I am able to ping the server.
Please let me know any other info you require.

I have manually installed the agent in these cases.   Usually the troubleshooting time will take a you a lot longer than just manual install.   If the remote server is healthy you should be fine.

Login to the server you want to install the remote agent and unc path back to the media server which the remote agent is under the folder RAWS32:

\\BEXSERVER\C$\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\Agents\RAWS32

or RAWS64 for x64 server
