I am trying to run an ASR using NTBackup and it is including the external USB drive that I am trying to back up to.
How can I get it to NOT include the external USB drive?
I run backups daily to a folder on the external USB drive and want a complete ASR in a separate folder on the external USB drive. I have rotating USB drives that are kept offsite.

ASR isn't supposed to be backing up anything but the critical volumes.  How do you know for sure it is backing up the USB drive?

Here is a site with all the ASR info anyone could ever want.

It turns out the I was doing a complete system backup and NOT an ASR backup. The ASR does indeed only do the system volume. Thnak you for making me go back and check my work.
