Offline device status on CA Brightstor ArcServe Backup

Dear all,
We are running sony sdx-900v tape unit with CA Brightstor ArcServe Backup r11.5 sp1 Build 4146 Standard Edition software, on an iomega  nas drive on windows storage server 2003 r2.
Recently i noticed that the media information and device status is showing offline. I have tried other tapes, retstarting the sony unit, refreshing the screen to no avail.

Watch Question

A tape device will be marked as offline when there is a failure of the device to load a tape. Check the activity log and the tape log for details.

The activity log can be viewed from the Job Status window or from the log subdirectory brightstor.log, and the tape log is also in the log directory named tape.log.
